Castillo de San Marcos
The event will begin with a procession from the Castillo de San Marcos at 6 p.m., with the participation of the Spanish Historical Militia and other important institutions and organizations. Together we will commemorate The Americas Way, honoring our rich heritage and history. The procession will be followed by a Mass in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine at 7 p.m. Don’t miss this meaningful and vibrant celebration!

The City of St. Augustine will be laying a wreath in honor of the 100th Anniversary with our sister city in Spain.

Mission Nombre de Dios
Watch as Pedro Menendez de Aviles is rowed ashore; landing on the very spot where it happened 459 years ago. Following his declaration, Menendez will lead his followers to the Rustic Alter where a Holy Catholic Mass with be celebrated by Bishop Pohlmeier. After Mass, Menendez will lead a Grand Procession, which will include the St. Augustine Royal Family, dignitaries and the faithful, to the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park. There a recreation of the First Thanksgiving will take place.
